Multi-flight Stairs

In a building with several floors, sometimes a multi-flight set of stairs is the best way to go. By putting the stairs – whether they be straight, spiral or a helix – all together in one spot, you make it easier for them to be installed and maintained, and easier for people to use. Multi-flight stairs can be of any design we offer, and you can mix designs between the flights, to fulfill your requirements. You can also construct or install external multi-flight stairs that can be ideal for emergency access.
In the event of a fire or other disaster, the people in the building can know to go to one central location to egress the area. They are available in a range of materials, some totally practical, some highly decorative, most somewhere in the middle on both requirements. Whatever your needs are, if you have several storeys to get up or down, you may find multi-flight stairs are just right for you. Placement of the multi flight stairs needs to be considered in conjunction with checking the foundation of the building but you can let us worry about those technical details for you.
If the stairs are going into a new building, positioning will need to be checked with the engineer or architect regarding the load bearing of the foundation. If you’re looking to add multi-flight stairs to an existing building, the foundation, flooring and ceiling joists must be strong enough to take the load and we will help you decide all of that to get the best option for your particular multi-storey building.
